In today’s Exclusive, filmed in August 2000, Bruce Nauman discusses his video Poke in the Eye/Nose/Ear (1994) in which we see the artist poking his own face. Shown in slow motion, viewers are forced to pay attention to the formal qualities of each frame. Nauman reflects on how fellow artists John Cage, Merce Cunningham, and Andy Warhol also reconsidered time and duration in their work.
