Cauleen Smith and Victoria L. Valentine

Cauleen Smith is an interdisciplinary artist whose work reflects upon the everyday possibilities of the imagination. Operating in multiple materials and arenas, Smith roots her work firmly within the discourse of mid-twentieth-century experimental film. Based in Chicago, Smith serves as faculty for the Vermont College of Fine Arts low-residency MFA program. Victoria L. Valentine is the founder and editor of Culture Type. She was the managing editor at the Ford Foundation and editor-in-chief of the Crisis magazine, the official publication of the NAACP.
