Kirby Gookin is an art critic, independent curator, and professor of critical studies and art history at the School of Visual Arts and New York University, where he teaches a course titled “The Morality of Materials.” His projects focus on the role that art can play in supporting human-rights initiatives, in empowering communities, and in shaping the discourse in bioethics.
