Robert Binet

Contributor
Robert Binet was born in Toronto, Canada and was appointed Choreographic Associate of The National Ballet of Canada in June 2013. He trained at Canada’s National Ballet School and after graduating became the first-ever Royal Ballet Choreographic Apprentice. Robert has created ten works for The National Ballet of Canada including Unearth, in collaboration with composer Owen Pallett, The Wild Space Between Two Hearts and Orpheus Becomes Eurydice, a co-comission with The Banff Centre. In the fall of 2015 Robert created The Blue of Distance for The New York City Ballet after participating in sessions of The New York Choreographic Institute in 2011 and 2014. He also choreographed the music video for Owen Pallett’s Song for Five & Six and Belle and Sebastian’s The Party Line and was a speaker at TEDxToronto 2015.
