Subtler than the opening ceremony light show in Beijing, James Turrell’s (Season 1) new permanent light installation was recently unveiled at the Franklin Park Conservatory’s Palm House in Columbus, Ohio. Touted as the most high-tech LED lighting installation in the world, the series of 7000 lights fill the botanical conservatory with volumes of changing light and color in limitless combinations.

Light Raiment operates from dusk to dawn and transforms every hour. Next stop for Turrell: the Empire State Building – or so we dare hope!
