Films on Art Portugal | Screenings 2.16 & 2.17

We are very excited to announce that two Art21 short films will be screening as part of this year’s Internacional Festival Filmes Sobre Arte Portugal, the international film festival, Films on Art Portugal.

The Art21 New York Close Up film “Lucas Blalock’s Digital Toolkit” will be screened Thursday, February 16 at 8:45pm as part of the festival’s opening session.

And the Art21 Exclusive digital short “Abraham Cruzvillegas: Autoconstrucción” will be screened Friday, February 17 at 6pm.

The festival Filmes Sobre Arte Portugal began in 2008 as a part of the art and performance festival Temps d’Images. Each year, the festival receives more than 250 film submissions from all over the world, out of which approximately 36 films are selected to be presented at the festival.

If you find yourself in Lisbon in February, tickets are €2 per nightly session, and festival passes are €10. The festival venue is Galeria Zé Dos Bois (ZDB), Lisbon, Portugal. For more information, see the festival’s website.

“Autoconstucción is about self-constructing or constructing your own house. I like the term because it leads me to think about the construction of identity.” —Abraham Cruzvillegas
