This week it’s all about the art. At the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, South Carolina last week, Carrie Mae Weems unveiled her new performance piece, Grace Notes: Reflections for Now: a combination of music, song, text, spoken word, and video projection that questions the role grace plays in the pursuit of democracy.
