Last week Mark Bradford announced that his work in Venice this summer will go beyond his exhibition at the U.S. Pavilion. The artist is partnering with the local nonprofit Rio Terà dei Pensieri for a project called Process Collettivo. Aimed to help prisoners re-enter society, the project will raise awareness of the problems in the penal system and promote the reintegration of former inmates.

- Get art on your phone with the New Museum’s app for the exhibition First Look: Artists’ VR. Featuring digital artworks by six artists—Jeremy Couillard, Jayson Musson, Peter Burr, Rachel Rossin, Jacolby Satterwhite, and Jon Rafman—the app is free on Google Play, with an iOS app currently in the works.
- New York Close Up artist Jaimie Warren staged a recreation of a classic painting by Henri Rousseau at last weekend’s Art Los Angeles Contemporary fair.
- And finally, Tania Bruguera pulled her work from an upcoming exhibition on Cuba at the Bronx Museum. The decision came after Cuban officials declined to let artworks travel to the U.S., even after the Museum had established an exchange agreement with the Cuban national collection. Bruguera openly opposes the Cuban government, and believes the exchange relied too closely on them.

- This Wednesday, February 1, Victoria Miro is opening an installation of Do Ho Suh’s Passage/s. Featuring new fabric sculptures created especially for the galleries, the exhibition is open through March 18.
